I actually find it very enjoyable to hunt around online for updates to simple, affordable pieces of furniture. I probably don’t own the pieces and I may not even complete the project but a part of me soaks up people’s creativity. And automatically, I want to share this stuff.
Here’s my top 6 from my latest browse…and I tell you there were stacks of options!
- From plain drawers to epic stained, scandi style drawers.
And it’s styled beautifully with a gold lamp and black and white sketch print. Easy!
See how to do it here.
2. A plant hanger with heat trivet detail
Now, this is special. Check out how to.
3. Gitte cushion into a kids stool (and a comfy one at that!)
All the deets are here.
4. A dresser + some custom contact paper = WOW!
This is the malm dresser. Add some gold contact paper and some serious patience and you have a whole new look.
5. The Gilded Desk
Take the top off and stick on some new legs. Yes please.

6. Bar cart on a budget
Of course, a lick of paint on a wooden table.
Then some wheels, and you’re away.
7. The Floating Shoe Rack
Not sure all of mine would fit….but the idea is pretty brilliant.
