Marks and Spencer has really amped up their fashion offering for Autumn. It’s about a peppering of animal print (in tones you wouldn’t necessarily expect) and bright pops of colour in the form of flattering (pull that waist in, girls) shirt dresses and jumpsuits.
- Play by Day
Isn’t this the cutest outfit for running around on your day off. For me, this is the perfect ‘day on’ outfit. You could dress it up with a pair of heels and big, bold earrings or take a leaf out of my book and make it casual with white sneakers (Rubi).
Because the outfit is fairly busy, keep accessories low key. Simple black bag and gold / black sunnies for the win.
2. Meet Me in a Cafe
I’m a sucker for a shirt dress ($75). The love never ends for structured / fitted dresses for me. The fabric is quite stiff (and it’s not at all see through) so it’s perfect for a meeting and ‘getting stuff done’. Flattering, too.
If you’re loving this look, shop it quick because white’s big right through Autumn (and my personal faves).
The midi heels ($37!) are also a crowd favourite in ochre which pair back simply with tan bags. The heels are also super comfy. Neutrals are so simple to coordinate and you can rest assured you’ll always look sharp, yet relaxed.
Chatting, pretzels, and soy chais. Good times.
3. Lady in Red. A Real Statement.
This has to be my ULTIMATE find from Marks and Spencer. It’s sexy, exudes confidence and is a spritely change, from wearing dull colours. It is a petite style (however Im still a 10, as normal). I’ve toned it all down with sneakers but you go to town with higher heels or a pair of espedrilles. Keep it really simple, because the dress is pretty loud.
It’s $97 and worth every pretty penny. Shop it!
Sneakers (with red tip) only $56. Shop ’em!
4. Jump Right In
You know how much I adore jumpsuits. There’s something so classy about an all-in-one (maybe until you go to the toilet and end up nude in the cubicle – ha!) Animal print is everywhere but this print is fairly understated. Shop this one. $85.
Keep the accessories simple and go and blaze that trail.
