By Chief Bargain Hunter Chelsea Thomas
Breathe in that Autumn air. It’s a little chillier than the warmth we’re used to, but it means a new wardrobe is in the midst and Autumn fashion to me means layering, tight denim, patterned pants and making things a little less serious with a printed tee.
I am therefore thrilled to be covering Eastland’s Autumn Style Weekend this Saturday 10 & Sunday 11 March with over 150+ sales happening. I covered their Boxing Day sales and lost my mind at the amount I genuinely saved. Spoken like a true bargain hunter! 🙂 I’ll be at Eastland bright and early on Saturday morning, to shop (obvs!) and take over Eastland’s Instagram Stories with all the goodies I find. I’ve got a strong focus on fashion, beauty and accessories this year. Everything I discover that’s a really cool bargain, I will post about so stay tuned there.
This change of season I’m on the hunt for fun pieces that can take me from a meeting, to a dinner with the girls. Staples to budget for this Autumn / Winter are a good looking, well-fitting denim jacket, a chunky scarf that you can shoulder wrap too and patterned pants. All of these pieces can be worn with or without the other. And a jumpsuit. I never EVER tire of a flattering jump suit that packs a pattern punch.
Client Meeting Look
Smart but not over the top. That’s the look I’m going for when meeting clients. You want to be effortlessly cool.
These Decjuba pants are teamed with Cotton On Body printed Love tee, Seed shoes and a Decjuba chain bag. Add some bling. This necklace is Sportsgirl.
I adore cross body bags because your hands are free to shop ‘n’ take pics along the way.
Park Dates. Playing Mum.
I’m mum to two cherubs. Jude and Clementine are full of energy so I need to be warm but comfortable. Jeanswest are delivering the BEST denim (high waisted styles are my faves). The printed tee says ‘casual’ without being too undone (aka gym gear) and is already a decent price at just $49.95 from Sportsgirl. Wrap a warm Myer coat over your shoulders and you’re set to take on kids…with a coffee in tow.
If I’m feeling like I need a gee up, I pop on boots (Airflex) and earrings (Lovisa). Just a standard hoop will do.
If Autumn throws you some sunshine, peel off the layers and throw this H&M scarf around your neck…just in case. Can’t tell you how soft AND under $15!
Event day, darling.
Every now and then, I need to attend an event so I need to ‘bring it’ in the bargain stakes. Polka dots are everywhere this season so embrace whatever style of spot suits you. I love big and bold (with the bow front) for $24.95 from H&M. Married with a blush pink mini from Dotti for under $50.
Stand out, in a good way.
Sometimes it’s good to be a little glam but this Autumn you can be as feminine or as bold as you want. And dusty pink is not going anywhere.
Coffee date etc
I run most days. Not the exercise type. But just from job to job and meeting to meeting. Picking up product. Styling people. I need to look cool (for me) but be in flats. A striking jumpsuit can make all the difference, especially ones that are cut in at the waist and offer a v-neck style. This Dotti one was too cute to walk past and is stocked up for this Saturday’s sale at Eastland. Teamed with Target denim jacket and Billini flats.
I mustn’t forget to mention the $24.95 keep cup from Decjuba. It’s dusty pink ‘Merci’ design is a winner….and looks pretty for us tea drinkers!
