10 People heart this

By Chief Bargain Hunter Chelsea Thomas

End of financial year means tax to some people and shopping to everyone else. For me, it means great big sales and Myer has always been a massive part of my spend at the end of June.

This year it was all about some glam-basics, which means…I want to up the anti when it comes to my day look. I too quickly jump into my jeans and a knit (which is totally fine for running around after the kids) but when it comes to being slightly more dressed up I find myself getting slightly lazy.

So….I went into Myer with a very open mind about what I needed. Skirts make everything more dressy, even if it’s denim. This Country Road one was down to $44.95. The button up front sharpens the outfit and I was thrilled to find a white knit from Basque (in store only) with some pretty lace for only $49. Top and bottom under $100. Doing well.

For day, team with boots and for evening pop on some heels and a leather jacket to formalise your style.

I was browsing dresses and wanted something a bit bold for marrying up with my denim jacket collection. I adored the burgundy stripe through this Finders dress (instore only) which was discounted to $89. I thought this would also work well for summer too. More wears per dollar if you know what I’m saying.

Every now and then I want to be boho. I want to be in a flowy maxi (only $75 by Piper Clothing) and a floppy brimmed hat (down to $49.95 by Morgan and Taylor).

The waist tie makes it so flattering.

Next, I’m crushing on velvet anything right now so this jacket leaped off the rack into my hands. I was just praying it was under $100 (scraped in at $99.95) so I could show it to you. Midnight blue velvet in a bomber style. In love. It was $169.95 so that’s a massive saving on a quality, timeless piece.
